As a consequence, databases and software are evolving rapidly, and new algorithms are required to improve computational analyses of massive biological or biomedical datasets.

Next generation sequencing
We thank all those who provided financial support to the conference. In recent years, there has been a revolution in squencing area of DNA sequencing with the arrival of next-generation sequencing technologies. The ECCB conferences are gathering about a thousand scientists and industry staff working at the intersection of a broad range of disciplines including computer science, mathematics, biology and medicine.
