Dona Barbara is a woman who has come to hate men for what they have done to her. This book was apparently one of his favorites and the origin of his nickname “Mr. As well, descriptions of the life in the “llanos” are vivid and full of sensations.
There are at least 20 typos and not only rmulo they obvious but they sometimes leave you wondering what you are missing.

La letra es microscopica. It certainly wasn’t for me. I am not sure how much would be lost in translation if this novel is read in English, but in Spanish this is one of the best novels written in South America.
