Published January 15th by Outskirts Press, Inc. Showing that God Exists. I hear many deconversion stories, so I look for the angle that is new and actually tells me something different. In this short autobiographical book, he recounts the events which caused him to question the faith he was indoctrinated in to as a youth and practiced and defended most of his life, and follows him along this path to the point where he finally, all-out rejects religion and supernatural beliefs.
This book deocnverted written for a bigger world, for those who are curious about disbelief and unbelievers, at least a bit for those who are possibly on the fence, and for those who aren’t necessarily avid listeners.

I do not often give books 5 stars but this book is exceptional. All of this done in a bit “friendlier” and fun matter than say Dawkins or Hitchens whom the religious religiln see as arrogant and off-putting. And, like I said in the opening paragraph, my atheism is not about anyone else but me.
This is the first striking lesson I learned from reading these books. Yet they were somehow able to take personal and public responsibility for a hard-wired sin nature, implored to pledge allegiance to an invisible overlord they could not see, and charged to prevent their own torture in a nasty, horrible place that the Vacation Bible School teachers called Hell.

For me it was Jehova’s witnesses. Allegiance to these teachings is expected, often demanded. Some of the best parts of this book are at the end where Andrews gives resource after resource for fellow atheists.

Reaso a truly inspirational book for someone trying to free themselves religiln the shackles of religion. There are some interesting observations to be made from these three books. May 19, Blu rated it really liked it.

He went boldly forth and has set and admirable example. LOL If you’re looking for a detailed manual on how to debate with the religiou I hope Seth writes another book just like this one, but detailing his life since the Thinking Atheist was born because I really got a kick out of seeing this larger than life radio persona try his hand at penning a memoir.
Before he founded TTA, Andrews led a very different life — he was a Christian radio broadcaster and one of the outspoken faithful. I had read mixed reviews of this book, but I have nothing bad to say about it, other than I wish it had been longer! His attempts to reconcile faith and the facts led him to a conclusion previously unthinkable, and this once-true believer ultimately became the founder of one of the most popular atheist communities on the internet, ‘The Thinking Atheist.
