Loved the writing, but unfortunately didn’t like the story. Published January by Heyne Verlag first published April 1st There’s just something about the writing that is difficult to follow.
I found the relationship between Rachel and Ivy strangely perverse. OK, so it wasn’t blow your mind good, but it was good enough that I will be continuing on with the series.
Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I feel like I should add an addendum to this review I think I was just pursuing every lead Amazon gave me, and that was back in the 3-for-4 paperbacks days, so I was in the habit of ordering the first four books in any newly discovered series.
This book does suspense so well. At least the recommendation I went with said it wasn’t. Ivy’s pretty kick-ass too.
I loved this book, and was moved to write by the string of two-star reviews. I would probably actually prefer it if the tone were to get a bit darker. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
That did improve at the end though. Rachel is Ivy’s roommate and trying to find a way for their scents to never mingle, to never talk to her about her family or other vampires although Rachel, super agent that she is, seems to know next to nothing about them when they’re around seems like expecting a woman to maim herself to prevent people on the street from finding her attractive. I just loved this book!
His lines just kill me and I found myself laughing out loud more than a few times. Many apparently congregate in the Hollows across the Ohio River blutspurr Cincinnati.

Hey, I even love poor Francis! I love Rachel’s character.
Kim is currently working on a new Hollows book between other, non related, urban fantasy projects. Other than the assassination attempts, the actual let’s try to bring down the baddie Trent ki deals in illegal Brimstone to kij beyond boring. It didn’t help that much of the books always involved Stephanie having dinner with her crazy family, her grandmother doing something outrageous, and her having multiple vehicles destroyed.
The three team up to make their own company after Rachel and Ivy quit their jobs as runners for the I. Why did Denton want her out of the I. The entire novel takes place in an alternative timeline in which government funding for putting a man on the moon actually went into bio-engineering that created a genetically engineered Tomato that contained a deadly virus that wiped out one third of the population in the harruson.

BUT, the good kind of bad boy has to be the one who treats his woman like a freaking princess, yet is a badass and will do anything to protect her. Kim reaches out to her audience at Facebook https: The only problem is she takes her old bosses favourite blutsupr with her; an emotionless and cold Vampire named Ivy. We start out with Rachel on the “bust” of a leprechaun. Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining—and it’s Rachel Morgan’s job to keep that world civilized.
I am now more interested about the ongoing fictional war between pixies and fairies than I have any blutsphr to be. For unconvincing reasons a living vampire, Ivy, and a pixie name Jenks join Rachel.
Also we get some insight into Trent and I found myself intrigued about this character too. Here are a couple of quotes that should give you a sense of Harrison’s style: Don’t let the cover, description, cover reviews, or hell, even the title throw you off on this one.
Jenkins is a sassy fairy that adds humour to the novel and Ivy is just everyones girl crush. Whatever is written about t In spite of the moderately engaging beginning, Dead Witch Walking finally lost me by about page Harrison can give more back story on the characters and the mythos, it might really draw me in. I have tried twice to start this series, should i give up or keep trying?

The characters are well-developed from the start, and if you ignore the ban on medical research, the world-building is fantastic too. All the creatures of the night gather in “the Hollows” of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party
